The Lenovo 3000 J115 is designed for home/small/business,
is a sub $1000 workhorse, and gives you all of the data saving and
time wasting (I mean saving) ability to handle almost all of your
small business tasks needs.

From Desktop cookie cutter land comes the Lenovo 3000 J115
With an AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor and 1 GB or RAM, this
desktop, as shipped is intended to compute, plain and simple. The
nVidia GeForce 6100 that powers the graphics is backed by system
memory to allow 256MB setting, and thus Vista compatibility. If your
business needs grow, you can always update the CPU, or if your needs
require the extra cycle throttling now, you can opt to get the X2 4200
CPU by customizing your initial order (around $150+).If you plan on
upgrading the CPU yourself, or have other need to open the case
itself, such as adding to the SATA or IDE port (no outside access) it
is not tooless, put pretty straightforward. The Lenovo 3000 J115
offers 160 GB in storage, and though I wish that it was set in a RAID
configuration for data backup, with the limited amount of resources
available and for convenience also, they opted for a software
solution. While many companies pack all kinds of useless software into
their lower cost desktop PCs for one reason or another, the Lenovo
3000 J115 desktop does not do this. While there are a few free trials
and other pre installed packages that come by default on the 3000,
they were all thought out and serve an important purpose, even the
trialware was appropriate. Of course no one gets away anymore without
trying out a Lenovo business desktop without the ThinkVantage
utilities. One rescue and recovery mission for time sensitive data
alone can make them worth the cost of nothing. There is also digital
photo freeware Picasa and WinDVD for movie entertainment. These are
welcome, in my book, as compared to the dial up service provider
adware on a lot of the big box PCs.
While some of the more security conscience security features that one
might have come to expect on many corporate desktop PCs are not
included, it is offset by the ease of use and networking simplicity
that these business desktops offer. If local access security is on the
top of your priority list, you might check out a more expensive
corporate PC or fire a family member. If you get rid of your felon
uncle and add on a 19 inch wide screen LCD monitor, for under the cost
of a used car with missing parts, you can handle all of the paperwork
he used to do, and then some, and still have time to watch a quick DVD
before the commute after work.
