 Dell Vostro 200
Small business relief in the form of the Dell Vostro 200 Desktop

The Dell Vostro 200 is a good example of how business computing can truly be a desktop solution. Most small business owners have spent their entire career being faced with two separate desktop PC purchasing choices. Do they buy the plug and play business suite set up with all of the additional software and unwanted service agreements that come along with it, hoping to save a little time and money along the way, or do they hire a full time tech support rep and start shopping for a more expensive, built from the ground up business computing platform. Dell has finally found a good middle ground for most small business owners to turn to, their Vostros line.

The Vostros 200 desktop is a good computing platform for business to begin with. It ships with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 2 GB of RAM, a dual layer DVD+/-RW and a 160 Gb hard drive to save all of your important files. The nVidia GeForce 8300GS is a good enough graphics chip set to allow smooth video performance and even game play. The dual core E6320 powering it is a good business class processor and fits the system needs appropriately.

The one thing that makes this system so attractive to the small business desktop market is that it is not stuffed to the gills with every download install and internet service provider ad on the planet in order to get quality service help. Though this desktop goes for under $900, the amount of support you get with purchase is more than just an affiliate link. With 10 GB online DataSafe backup protection, and a choice of alternate operating systems, customer services for business use have been well thought out. There is always the option of over the phone or online support, and even remote access assistance if needed.

My advice is, that if you are a small business owner, or are in the market for a small number of networked PC, and foresee the need of at least part time tech support for those PCs, then to save yourself some money, as well as a lot of hassle, by checking into the Dell Vostro 200 or another model in the VOstro line of Dell business PCs.
