The ZT Affinity 7225Xi Multimedia PC is a Cinderella Man of a PC. It may nor be from a not so well known brand, but it comes out with all chip sets swinging, and at a good price.

While the Titans are usually the talk of the town when it comes to Multimedia desktop reviews, sometimes Dell and HP have to be told that you can't keep a good man down, no matter what his name is. ZT Systems is not famous for its multimillion dollar Superbowl ads, but this Quality budget box maker has found its way to a Walmart near you, so they must be doing something right.

The 7225Xi is a good example of budget multimedia PC that comprises of quality parts in a solid frame. IT comes with its own cardboard box for only $750, but don't let the plain wrapper fool you. The ZT group truly understands the market, and saw the demand for a general purpose multimedia PC for home or small office use and minimal bells and whistles, and their answer to this demand was the 7225Xi.

At its heart is an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 CPU and 4 GB of 800 MHz DDR2 RAM.It has enough juice to keep most home consumer users happy, and the price tag makes it a more reasonable purchase than a decked out Alienware rig for checking moms email when not at work.

The ATI Radeon HD 3450 is a good budget/mid-range card and performed well against its own class of GPUs in benchmark testing.

IF you are looking for a family multimedia PC, complete with dual layer DVD+/-RW ability and enough power to get a few kids through high school, then this buy would be without regret, but if you are looking for system that will have a long life, with the possibility to upgrade, then I would shop on.
