 Lenovo ThinkCentre a61e
Lenovo ThinkCentre a61e multimedia computer go green for less green

The ultra small size ThinkCentre a61e is an extremely small, green, yet very capable business computing solution. Though not the most expandable of computing platforms, it is very capable business in clerical desktop. The internal ATI Radeon X1200 GPU may not be gamers hardware, but is the perfect solution for the business graphics user, or for home/education use. The a61e actually comes in two separate platforms. The first is based on AMD's Sempron CPU, and goes out the door for under $400. The second is centered on a dual core Athlon X2 processor, and ships for a little under $700. Both models are extremely maintenance friendly, as no tools are needed to enter the case for service. Other factors, including the drop out motherboard make this easy to service multimedia system a dream for your IT office personnel.

Some of the more environmentally friendly aspects of this multimedia computer our its external power brick, which just happens to be a plus certified. In fact the power unit of the a6e is so efficient that Lenovo has introduced a solar power option with this model. If you're looking for an overall competent business media center solution without all of the frills or power toys needed outside the office, then the compact Lenovo a61e makes for the perfect solution. The only major complaint we had about the a61e desktop, was at the 90 day to file of Norton Internet security that accompanies the usual Lenovo ThinkVantage utilities was a little on the shore site for our tastes. Other than that, for basic business use that will not break the bank, this HTPC fit the bill.
