The Averatec D1200 is a powerful model capable of HDTV broadcasting, recording and playback with high resolution over 1,920 by 1,200 pixels. This goes far beyond the thoughts that an all in one machine is just barely above standard. The monitor has a glossy finish and a 25.5-inch HDTV viewing area, with soft buttons in the front panel and an antenna at the back.

The rest of the unit consists of six USB ports, 320GB internal hard drive, DVD burner, MCE – Media center software to watch and record videos. The Averatec works best when hooked up with an antenna or cable that serves all as a HDTV.

The 25.5-inch screen is quite clear and the touch sensitive control buttons are on the front panel for easy access. The IR remote great touch being tucked within the keyboard. The keyboard and mouse are wireless following the sleekly designed system. The Norton Antivirus subscription, customized build of vista home premium, and the omitted bloat ware offenders make it even more unique and desirable. The system will fit in to just about any room , in living, study, and bedroom and even just a compact space within your house.

With decent performance it has scored best at Windows Media Encoder test in 1 minute 7 seconds and the PhotoShop CS4 test in two minutes. This (Averatec D1200), TV com PC is quite a piece for those looking to go for an all in one that excels in performance and quality.
