Apple iMac (Nvidia GeForce GT 130)
This Media Center is Branded Apple but is 100% Nvidia, and that's a good thing @ Apple iMac (Nvidia GeForce GT 130)

Out of the 4 models that the iMac series comprises, I always look forward to see what changes the creaters at Apple are going to throw into their top of the line 24 inchers. Long being the choice of illustrators and other graphics junkies, the Apple brand has always attracted somewhat of a demanding graphics crowd, and this time I think the mob will be well satisfied. In fact, I would go out on a limb and say that if you do not know how to make your graphics cards work for their dinner, then you might as well get one of the less expensive iMacs, as they are all great looking Media Center PCs, and If your not looking to be the next Pixar studios, then the extra $1000 might buy you one heck of a DVD collection.

I am glad to see that they understand that people are saving more and more large data files on their HTPCs and digital editing computers. The new 1TB hard drive was a welcome touch. The 3.06 Core 2 Duo E8435 processor can rip through a lot of cutting room floor filing, and even though the default GeForce GT 130 might be seen as a middle of the road card, it will suit for most users, and if need be, there is still the Apple configure to order option, you can always upgrade the card during purchase to the ATI Radeon HD 4850 for some extra punch. Speaking of configure to order, these great little PC ships out with 4 GB of RAM, but can be filled to the brim with 8. Add in the fact that the Intel inside allowed for smooth gaming, even on a default system, during benchmark testing, and even EPEAT Gold certification and meets Energy Star 5.0 standards, there's very few it will disappoint. Microsoft might not like me saying this, but this media center may be made by Apple, but it is still one heck of a PC.
