The marriage of an Intel Core 661 CPU and an Intel DH55TC Motherboard create a great small form factor HTPC base without leaving anything out.

Intel DH55TC Motherboard - Core i5 CPU Pairing Test Review

I like it when things "just work", and the combo of today's featured products do just that. It is a PC. You plug it in, push on, and use it. It might not be the geeky platform for the FPS greedy overclocking basement dweller, but for the rest of us, it does just fine.

The latest innovations in on CPU integration are all there for you to play with. Intel Integrated graphics has several benefits. It not only allows the CPU to take on some of the workload for graphics, it makes Motherboards with high transfer speeds cheaper to manufacture at a higher quality level, as the Intel DH55TC Motherboard attests.

With onboard audio and GMA 4500 HD graphics at your disposal, all without anything other than your Intel Motherboard and Core i5 661 CPU. Suddenly, in a new world of multi-core integrated everything, a bare bones Intel system no longer seems so bare bones.

The H55 architecture the DH55TC motherboard is a piece of artwork. For a home theater with the best Intel CPU for the job, and a small form factor, relatively inexpensive matching Intel motherboard, this nice combination will surely be seen in many big box models soon. The Instructions will say, turn on, insert blue-Ray, and enjoy.

If your doing product research for your next gaming rig, then the integrated GMA 4500 HD might be able to get you through the games you current general purpose PC plays, however any improvement you experience will most likely be in the "between the scenes" videos, and not during game play. If you really like gaming, and it is not just a casual ditraction between spreadsheet creation, then I would recommend you take advantage of the boards PCI Express x16, or dual x1 slots. I would also review full size Intel ATX Motherboards with the Intel i7, and i5 LGA 1156 socket.
