The Intel CPU i5 brand reviewed encompasses several new Intel processors. It is an upper mid range processor, nicely positioned between the mid range CPU lines including the Pentium family (and the Core 2) and Core i-3, and the high end line including the i-7 and Xeons. While the same chip base as the Core i-7 CPU, Hyper-threading has been disabled.

The Intel CPU i5 750 model review - 2.66 GHz of pure quad core goodness at a budget price

Save money on building an up-to-date computing system from the very beginning with your Intel CPU i5 750. Not only will the CPU itself save you money, but this up to hundred dollar Lynnfield processor will also save you money on your motherboard choice. The major difference between the Intel CPU I five and the Intel core I seven models is the lack of hyper threading technology in the Intell Core 2 i5. While some commercial grade business applications and even a few high end games may take advantage of the hyper threading technology that the i7s provide, most business and home users will not miss it, making this tailor down CPU an excellent choice for the budget conscious without sacrificing performance quality while using a majority of applications.

Intel CPU core i5 - 661 Review

The Intel CPU core I five -- 661 may not be a quad core processor but the dual cores it contains are still extremely fast, clocking in at 3.33 GHz. The processor itself might be slightly slower than the 3.0 GHz phenom II X4 945, is still welcome benchmark considering that the Phenom has dual core supremacy. This Intel CPU is also priced slightly higher than the Phenom II, but with AMD solidifying its control over the mid range and budget markets and Intel fast forgetting about even its own core2 processing line in favor of focusing on its i5 and i7 lines, which happened to be a little higher end, this is not much of a surprise. This price structure is also to be taken into consideration when you consider a motherboard purchase....

Each Processor in the Intell CPU i-5 line has its own special characteristics and performance set the our Intel i Five reviews cover in complete detail. Whether the Arrandale i-5 moblile PC processor or the full desktop Lynnfield or Clarkdale (the desktop Arrandale version) chip set models are next on your shopping list, our Intel CPU i5 reviews will give you the specific information you need to choose the right processor for your system.
