The Falcon Northwest Mach V combines their favorite hobby of overclocking with the amazing 3D graphics power of the new true 1Gb GPU, the ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT, not to mention PC8888 DDR2 memory with more than a MHz of transfer power.

Falcon Northwest Mach V
The Falcon Northwest Mach V breaking the 1GB gaming card barrier

The Falcon Northwest Mach V is just like every other Falcon Northwest product, the first of the first. This time showcasing the new ATI Radeon 2900 XT GPU. This graphics processor is unlike any previous claimed "1Gb" graphics chip. All of the previous claimants had to combine the memory of all chips in a SLI or other setup that was reliant on external connectors in one way or another. The new XTs in Crossfire sport their own internal connectors, breaking them away from the pack soley by authenticity, and each XT carries the burden of over 1000MB of information all by their lonesome. The Intel Quad Core QX6800 CPU has been a favorite among gaming PC makers lately, but Northwest takes the cake by overclocking it to an insane 3.7 GHz+, great for really making those dual layer 10,000 rpm DVD+/-RWs.

One of the things that makes this gaming PC simply one of the very best choices is not the hardware or the software, but the company behind it. Falcon Northwest is, still at its heart, a whitebox manufacturer. This, along with their size, has put them in field play when it comes to customer service, and they handle it well. Because their assembly lines might run a little slower than ACME big box, they are still able to halt long enough to offer you the choice of XP/Vista/Win7 on your new gaming machine.

If anyone reading this review is familiar with Falcon Northwest's track record for the Mach V, but it begins to sound like a sports statistics roster for high school vs pro. Time and time again the Mach V models score out the very top scores of almost any machine, even if it does absolutely nothing for your game play or for that fact, you wallet. This is a bragging rights gaming system that can back up every word, but he takes your lunch money to be your friend. For just under $8000, the Falcon Northwest gaming rig is worth every penny, depending on if you are willing to gamble by stats alone.
