The Falcon Northwest Mach V breaking the 1GB gaming card barrier

he Falcon Northwest Mach V is just like every other Falcon Northwest product, the first of the first. This time showcasing the new ATI Radeon 2900 XT GPU. This graphics processor is unlike any previous claimed "1Gb" graphics chip. All of the previous claimants had to combine the memory of all chips in a SLI or other setup that was reliant on external connectors in one way or another. The new XTs in Crossfire sport their own internal connectors, breaking them away from the pack soley by authenticity, and each XT carries the burden of over 1000MB of information all by their lonesome. The Intel Quad Core QX6800 CPU has been a favorite among gaming PC makers lately, but Northwest takes the cake by overclocking it to an insane 3.7 GHz+, great for really making those dual layer 10,000 rpm DVD+/-RWs....

Can The Rich Boy Join Your MMORPG? - Puget Deluge-i L2 gaming PC Review

There is one in every class, the rich kid who brags about how much his clothing costs. It's always name brand. It's always made of the most durable material. And of course, it costs more than anybody else's similar clothing that you know. The Puget Deluge-i L2 is a computer made specifically for such an individual. This gaming PC has it all. Let's start with just under a terabyte of data storage capacity. Why 900 GB? I would have preferred they gave me a smaller drive them to taunt me with one so close to the psychological benchmark. But I guess that over $5000 I just get a little picky....

The Velocity Micro Edge E2250 family gaming and home desktop at its best

The Velocity Micro Edge E2250 Home Gaming review - It is extremely reasonable in price, coming complete with a cardboard box for less than $2000. It has enough common sense to double as a home desktop PC that is great for school work or extracurricular business, and can even function as a home theater entertainment system capable of playing your favorite DVD movies. Especially when considering the car salesmanship so common in the home consumer budget PC market, it is refreshing to be able to say that the computer reviewed today is a great deal. If you want a better system than this one, then be prepared to pay more for it....

eMachines T5254 A real Gaming PC for under $500

The eMachines T5254 is and AMD Athlon 64 X2 CPU, 2GB RAM, and nVidia GeForce 6150 SE GPU, a DVD+/-RW, and a box to keep it all in for a penny under $400. Its a great deal. Its a steal. Built as a general purpose home/office PC that can also be used for gaming, it gives you plenty of room to play. It even includes a 320 GB hard drive (just a few years ago would have cost as much as the PC). If you do not have a computer, then you need to get the eMachines T5254...

The HP Blackbird 002 is back, is your gaming experience better for it?

The sequel to HPs gaming rig, the Blackbird, has a brand new Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 CPU and 4 GB of 16K DDR3 memory, and a slick pair of GeForce GTX 280 running the graphics show. It is a good gaming box, and you could have on big endless frag party using it. The case remains the same, and for good reason, there was nothing wrong with the old one. It has a superb ribbed design and is almost simplistic in its maintenance access, which is a very good thing indeed. 4 GB of memory is just about right for a quick gaming PC. I could ask for more, but I won't....

Vigor Force Recon QXN gaming system review - We must be serious

Vigor, known as an elite system builder, has given us a clean box, built to do what it does best, game. This is no mini mac. The Silverstone case it calls home is very "full size", but its black matte finish and side window give away the reason. The four hard drives that serve you data and hold your files alone don't mind letting you know that there is 2.6 Tb there. (why the RAID configuration for the data drives is unknown and questioned) And then there are the GPUs, 1, 2, and 3. Three GeForce GTX 280 graphics cards running SLI cut horizontally through the side window....

Most computers for gaming should just run away, the Velocity Micro Raptor Signature Edition Review

The velocity Micro Raptor Signature Edition is on nice piece of work. We have reviewed several gaming PCs, and even the most cavernous of housing seldom contain the punch that this mini tower is filled with. While the Intel Core 2 Extreme CPU is of course to be expected and to have a little over a TB of drive space is nice, the real secret sauce to the Velocity Raptor gaming PC that makes me actual look forward to shelling out $7000 or a little more, is in the graphics card and extreme overclocking setup. Behind the 3 "cute" little blue, lit up, vent fans on the side of the Velocity Raptor is a mean machine, built to bully....

The Falcon Northwest FragBox QX9650 Big Gaming computer with small form factor

Another Yorkfield XE-based screamer is the Falcon Northwest FragBox QX9650. Though the QX9650 comes in a small package, it is far from a small fry when it comes to performance. with a CPU overclocked to 3.8 MHz and a super pixel shredding ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 with two GPUs, there is no reason for this gaming computer to even consider getting a Napoleon complex, and with a price tag of under $5000, even with a custom "rain" paint job, is a great bargain for the power and style it provides. Similar systems can easily go for 5-$8000, or even more...

Alienware Area-51 ALX high performance Gaming PC - All that and more

The Alienware Area 51 series continues to get better and better. With every new high end GPU release, Alienware is not far behind in building a high end system to match, and the ALX is no different. The Radeon HD 4870 X2 CrossFireX brings new graphics power to this $7500 Gaming PC. While Alienware has never been known for subdued style and subtlety, the ALX just shows how flashy this power Gaming PC maker can be. The ever "Alien" reminiscent casing style is ever present in all of their designs, and the glossy black and chrome finish on this beast of a box smiles in grimacing audacity as if to preview what is beneath....

The Dell XPS 730x - every man's Gaming Computer

Nicely tucked between screaming XPS 730x H2C, at a whopping $6000+, and the bottom benchmarking standard for a little above $1500, is the sub 4k XPS 730x. This is rather a nice position for this piece of machinery. It retains all of the size and grandeur of the more expensive model without sacrificing all of the power and performance that should give up by going with the base model. 730xs chassis is a metal monster. Much like its more brawny presence the H2C, you have a choice between pre-aluminum finishes, natural silver, red, or blue. To compliment with the Alienware PC branding (also owned by Dell), the lighting system, both inside and out as be labeled as AlienFX, formerly known as LightFX....

Is the MagicMC Uberous X58 SLI/CrossfireX the best gaming system money can buy?

Much like the famous 1969 GTO, the MagicMC Uberous X58 is a muscle car of gaming system. The belly of the beast comprises an Intel Core i7-965 Extreme Edition CPU, overclocked to an amazing 3.7 GHz (from 3.2). Figure in two massive dual GPU ATI RAdeon HD 4780 X2 graphics cards, and you should have a recipe for some extreme pixel pushing! Definitely the Uberous is to be considered a big ticket item at almost $5000 out the door, and the addition of a 10,000 rpm C: drive, a full TB for D: or E:, and the included Blu-Ray burner verify this pedigree. These features alone are cause for price tag justification....

Extreme Gaming Pc - Falcon Northwest FragBox 2 (Core i7)
